"We eliminate
the limits of manufacturing"

Micro Resistance Spot Welding is an extremely efficient joining technique ideally suited for high-volume manufacturing, adaptable for most metals and their alloys.

Micro Resistance Spot Welding uses the application of electric current and mechanical pressure to create a weld between two metallic parts. Copper electrodes conduct a current through the work pieces, generating enough local heat from the electrical resistance and the thermal conductivity of the metal to create a small molten pool. The metal then cools while under pressure, forming a weld nugget with adequate strength to hold the parts together. The process requires the application of external force, but no fluxes, filler metals, or external heat sources are necessary. Request a Quote

Spot welding is a non labor-intensive, easily automated resistance welding process ideal for rapid welding applications. In spot welding, overlapping metal sheets are clamped between two electrodes through which an electrical current is passed, generating heat at the sheet-sheet (faying) interface. The metal is rapidly melted at the faying surface; as the heat dissipates through the work piece, the spot weld cools and the metal solidifies. The electrodes continue to maintain pressure during weld nugget solidification to provide joint integrity.

Resistance Spot Welding

Drawn stainless steel shells are loaded onto the conveyor belt of an annealer that is atmospherically controlled to prevent oxide scale and discoloration on the parts during the annealing process.

Resistance Spot Welding

Stainless steel parts are processed through an automated pickling/passivating line to remove oxide scale and heat tint discoloration as well as to remove surface contamination.

The pictured robotic welder is used for plasma arc welding parts that require accurate weld locations, repeatability and long weld paths (or for multiple parts with short weld paths). To help reduce part cost, this unit is set up in a cell environment to permit additional operations during welding.
